Welcome to EduardBlacquiere.com, my newly launched blog about search marketing. I (who am I?) will also cover related subjects like web analytics & social media, but the main focus will be search marketing.

EduardBlacquiere.com will not bring you the daily search news, but my analysis on what’s going on in the world of search and related subjects. I write EduardBlacquiere.com for both the expert and the novice.

Why start EduardBlacquiere.com?

Blogging is not new to me. For a couple of years I’ve been writing about search marketing in Dutch. Besides my personal blog EdWords.nl (Dutch) I also write for some large online marketing blogs in the Netherlands like Marketingfacts.nl and DutchCowboys.nl.

The English search market isn’t new for me either. By far most of the blogs I read are English, but it’s hard to start a dialog when you’ve only got a Dutch blog. So I wanted to have a “place” where I can direct the English speaking search community to.

“Measuring SEO: why rankings are worthless”

Last month Dutch SEO and WordPress guru Joost de Valk asked me to write a guest post at his (English) blog Yoast.com. My article “Measuring SEO: why rankings are worthless” received some good comments and trackbacks. This was the final trigger to start writing about search marketing in English on my own.

Why start another search marketing blog?

You might ask yourself “why start another search marketing blog with so many already out there?”. I think there’s room for more search marketing blogs and I’ll explain why.

A lot of the search marketing blogs, especially the search engine optimization (SEO) blogs, are only understandable for experts.

For both the expert and novice

There’s nothing wrong with that, but I think there is enough room for blogs which are interesting to both the expert and the novice.

My writing style for EduardBlacquiere.com will be in such a way that both an expert and a novice can read my articles and that they both find interesting information in it.
