Why could Google die? Read this!

Last december the people of FaberNovel created an excellent presentation about Google, titled “Everything you always wanted to know about Google…But were afraid to ask“.

Last month they created another fabulous presentation with a more serious title this time: “Why could Google die . . . maybe not now, but tomorrow”.

French consulting company FaberNovel again succeeded in creating a very comprehensive and easy to read presentation, defining 12 of Google’s weaknesses.

Another awesome presentation by the guys over at Faber Novel, with perfectly valid points as I see it. Good find Eduard!

it’s a nice presentation, with a lot of valid points and stuff to think about. It’s still the french though ;)

Interesting presentation! Google has a lot of big challenges for the coming years and they know that.

Especially in the field of privacy it will become much more important that Google keep slistening to their users, instead of listening to their stock price…

@Joris
I think privacy is one of the most important threats for Google indeed. But I definitely think the balance in focus between users and stock holders is critical to that

@Eduard

Yes, of course. Sure, they have to pay the bills ;-) Balance is always key. What I mean is that they need to keep the user central. The user is key and the competition is one click away.

For example the launch of Beacon from Facebook. That launch had a big impact on the millions users and they got a mass of complaints about it. Maybe it’s good for the shareholders in the short term, but users are going away if you don’t listen to them. Google also have to deal with finding a balance in that, for now and in the future.

@Joris
Agreed! :)

It was a good presentation. Google is not to die of course, but for the coming years, it will remain the most reliable source of information.
